4to. 11.5 x 8.25 inches. [4] + iv + [1] + 77 pp. In red pictorial card wrapper with white titles. a little edge wear, but otherwise a very good copy. Bookplate. Loosely inserted: 1998 letter on headed Museum paper signed by author. Illustrated by four black and white facsimile plates. Title page decorated by Museum's device. Part 1 of the Guide is a list of the Discrete Collections of personal papers and institutional records. Part 2 covers the Artificial Collections of material assembled in the Museum and groups individual items that have come from many different sources. At the end are indexes of Personal and Corporate Names, of Ship and Establishment Names and of Campaigns. Matthew Sheldon, Curator of Manuscripts was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Museum in 2024.
