FIRST EDITION. 8vo. 8.75 x 5.75 inches. 285 pp. Bound in original red cloth, gilt, in non-clipped pictorial dust wrapper (with author photograph on rear), which has minor wear and chips. Slight wear to extremities, including corners and a little spotting of edges; otherwise a very good copy. First Edition of a book of long stories by the novelist, Daphne Du Maurier (1907-89). The stories are set in Venice, Crete, Ireland, Jerusalem and East Anglia. The wrapper design is by the author's daughter, Flavia Tower.
